Sun, Rain, Rainbow & 226lbs of Trash
Last Saturday was quite a day at Pillar Point, we had sun, showers and a beautiful rainbow. Volunteers showed up in numbers (40) despite the rain and in less than 2 hours they picked up 226lbs of trash including 28lbs of recycling. They found rings and nets used to catch crabs, a portable potty from a RV (yuk), a plastic blue chair in great condition that we donated to the RV park’s outdoor patio, and a tire dug out by Nilas’ employees. The boys from the YMSL did an amazing job as well collecting tones of cigarette butts, 163 out of the 380 picked up that day.
Thank you all for coming and for making Pillar Point Harbor’s beach a better place!
You were all wonderful and we hope to see you next month! Next cleanup: Saturday, March 28th.
