Successful Earth Day Cleanup at Seal Point
The PBC team couldn’t be more grateful for the amazing support we received from our extraordinary volunteers, and we are elated at the difference made on Earth Day 2023.
The event was a huge success, thanks to the hard work and dedication of our volunteers. We had 95 volunteers in total, who worked tirelessly to collect and sort through the waste. We were able to collect 193 pounds of landfill waste, as well as bulky items like suitcases and tires that were hauled away using golf carts. Additionally, we were able to recycle 29 pounds of materials, which is a significant accomplishment.
We are proud of the support we received from our volunteers, and we look forward to collaborating with them again in the future. It is heartening to see so many people coming together to make a positive impact on the environment. It is only through the collective effort of everyone that we can make a significant difference in our communities.
We hope that this year’s Earth Day success inspires others to take action and make changes in their own communities. Even small actions can have a huge impact on the environment, and we encourage everyone to get involved and do their part. We believe that by working together, we can make a significant and lasting impact on the world around us.
We appreciate everyone who supports Pacific Beach Coalition’s work and educational programs. Thank you for helping us to protect our beautiful ocean and coastline by donating money, time, or both! Your dollars will go towards our ongoing educational efforts (such as the Naturalists program) and our beach cleanups and habitat restoration efforts along the coastal trail. Thank you so much for any contribution: big or small!
