Stats & Hawks Soar High at Thornton Vista!
Thornton Vista witnessed an impressive turnout of 41 dedicated participants and four passionate PBC volunteers on the crisp and clear Fall morning of November 12th. Under the unusually mild morning weather, participants were treated to glimpses of local wildlife while they worked, including a majestic red-tailed hawk soaring overhead.
The collective impact of the cleanup was impressive. A huge thanks to our volunteers who collectively hauled in 71 pounds of garbage, 17 pounds of recycling, and around 150 cigarette butts! Among the hard-working participants were a lovely family of seven from Fremont, representatives from the University of San Francisco, the Key Club from Westmoor High School, Hillsdale High, and Central Middle School of San Carlos. Your collective commitment to maintaining the beauty of Thornton Vista was truly inspiring. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone involved, and an open invitation is extended to all for the next cleanup event – your continued support is invaluable, and we can’t wait to see you again soon!
We appreciate everyone who supports Pacific Beach Coalition’s work and educational programs. Thank you for helping us to protect our beautiful ocean and coastline by donating money, time, or both! Your dollars will go towards our ongoing educational efforts (such as the Naturalists program) and our beach cleanups and habitat restoration efforts along the coastal trail. Thank you so much for any contribution: big or small!
