Leo J. Ryan Earth Day Cleanup Success
Thank you to our wonderful and hard-working volunteers from the South Bay Regional Police/Safety Academy, Boy Scout Troop 321, St. Catherine of Siena, local schools, and to individual volunteers who joined us for the Leo J. Ryan Park cleanup on April 20th in Foster City. It is through your collective efforts that Pacific Beach Coalition can continue driving our mission of preserving the ocean and ending litter through advocacy, education, community building, and citizen action.
Together, we achieved remarkable results:
- Number of volunteers: 140
- Landfill waste collected: 75 pounds
- Recycling materials collected: 11 pounds
- Cigarette butts removed: 2,500
- Green waste gathered: 5 pounds
A job well done to all of our volunteers, and we are full of gratitude for your commitment to preserving and beautifying our local environment and community. Each of your efforts inspires us to continue making a positive difference together.
We appreciate everyone who supports Pacific Beach Coalition’s work and educational programs. Thank you for helping us to protect our beautiful ocean and coastline by donating money, time, or both! Your dollars will go towards our ongoing educational efforts (such as the Naturalists program) and our beach cleanups and habitat restoration efforts along the coastal trail. Thank you so much for any contribution: big or small!
