Yesterday, I went to Sharp Park Beach and picked up 11.5lbs of trash. This included about 1.5 lbs or 35 pieces of blobs of tar. They range in size from a quarter to a small pancake. Right before the rain, 11 volunteers joined us on a short notice to clean Tunitas Creek before the rain. Another beautiful day spent on the beach! 16 volunteers helped up picket 56 lbs of trash and 7 lbs of recycling. Unfortunately, crab season means lots of busted crab traps and zip ties along with other fishing material, deadly for fish and birds. Please remember to take your trash with you.
