Last Saturday was quite a day at Pillar Point, we had sun, showers and a beautiful rainbow. Volunteers showed up in numbers (40) despite the rain and in less than 2 hours they picked up 226lbs of trash including 28lbs of recycling. On a bright sunny day, 16 volunteers from Charles Schwab donned buckets and bags to clean Linda Mar beach. What a pleasant bunch of people. Saturday’s cleanup at Linda Mar included 24 students from Stanford University, 18 students from St. Veronica’s parish and 28 volunteers for the tsunami program (no tsunami debris was found).
