Yesterday, I went to Sharp Park Beach and picked up 11.5lbs of trash. This included about 1.5 lbs or 35 pieces of blobs of tar. They range in size from a quarter to a small pancake. This is what happens when garbage cans fall over in the rain and the wind. Your household trash gets carried down the street where it will wind up in the ocean. Please don’t put your trash cans out at night before a storm or secure them so they won’t fall over.
