It is a very special award and after running for almost 5 years, the PBC finally won!

We have worked so hard to educate people about sustainability and environmental practices for almost 20 years. With the help and support of the City, our yearly sponsors like Recology, NCCWD, County of San Mateo, Pacifica Tribune, Pedro Point Surf Club, Mazzetti’s Bakery, Pacifica and JUHSD Schools (and also schools from throughout the Bay Area), educators and scientists and well over a hundred thousand volunteers we’ve transformed the coast. We changed Linda Mar Beach from the “dump,” as it was called some 20 years ago, and other local beaches into near pristine coastline and nurtured a culture of civic duty throughout our city and hopefully beyond!

It is with a lot of pride that we will claim our award on April 6th in San Mateo.
