Foster City Youth In Action!
A heartfelt thank you extends to the Boy Scouts of America – Pack 153 from San Carlos, CA, the Young Men’s Services League (YMSL), several local schools, and individuals who generously contributed their time and energy to the cleanup efforts at 1000 Metro Center Blvd and its surrounding area on Sunday, February 18, 2024. Your dedication and support are invaluable to the Pacific Beach Coalition, and it’s because of your unwavering commitment that we can continue fulfilling our mission and serving our communities.
With 66 volunteers banding together, we achieved significant results, including the removal of 104 pounds of landfill waste, the recycling of 42 pounds of materials, and the meticulous collection of 2,500 cigarette butts to safeguard our environment. Additionally, our collective efforts resulted in the disposal of 15 pounds of green waste, alongside the discovery of intriguing items like a vacuum cleaner, two pairs of shoes destined for cleaning and donation, as well as a volleyball and an umbrella, underscoring the diverse impact of our cleanup endeavors.
We appreciate everyone who supports Pacific Beach Coalition’s work and educational programs. Thank you for helping us to protect our beautiful ocean and coastline by donating money, time, or both! Your dollars will go towards our ongoing educational efforts (such as the Naturalists program) and our beach cleanups and habitat restoration efforts along the coastal trail. Thank you so much for any contribution: big or small!
