Sunday, October 15, 2023, turned out to be a remarkable day of progress. The Episcopal Day School of St. Matthew, YMSL San Mateo, various schools, and numerous individuals came together to engage in a much-needed cleanup mission at 1010 Metro Center Blvd and its surrounding areas in Foster City. An impressive 69 volunteers dedicated their time to removing 161 pounds of landfill waste, 19 pounds of recycling, and a whopping 4,650 cigarette butts! The team also recovered 53 pounds of miscellaneous metal, 4 pounds of pipe, 18 pounds of wood, 2 folding chairs, 10 pounds of brick, and even a discarded trailer tire and rim.

Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers for making a significant impact on our environment. A special shout-out also goes to owner and chef Junsong Xue of Chez Xue-Foster City for generously donating gift certificates to several of our dedicated volunteers.
