86 Lbs of Trash Removed From Linda Mar Beach!
Last week a terrific group of volunteers from Pinewood School came together to clean up Linda Mar Beach. The hard work of this group has made a significant impact on the safety of our coast and ocean, as well as the wildlife that calls it home.
Volunteers collected a total of 86 pounds of trash, 7 pounds of recyclables, and an astounding 191 cigarette filters. This is a remarkable achievement and a testament to the dedication and commitment of everyone who participated. Every piece of litter removed from the beach helps to keep our oceans healthy and prevent the harm that plastic and other debris can cause to marine life.
Not only was this cleanup effort impactful, but it was also an enjoyable day for everyone involved. We encourage everyone to join us again on another beach clean or habitat restoration event. Together, we can make a positive impact on the environment and the community we live in.
We appreciate everyone who supports Pacific Beach Coalition’s work and educational programs. Thank you for helping us to protect our beautiful ocean and coastline by donating money, time, or both! Your dollars will go towards our ongoing educational efforts (such as the Naturalists program) and our beach cleanups and habitat restoration efforts along the coastal trail. Thank you so much for any contribution: big or small!
