69 Volunteers at Foster City Cleanup

We had a well-attended and successful cleanup at 100 Grand Plaza in Foster City on Sunday, November 17, 2024. Among the whopping 69 volunteers, we collected:

  • 34 pounds of landfill trash
  • 15 pounds of recycling
  • 5 pounds of green waste
  • 3 pounds of non-recyclable plastic
  • 4,550 cigarette butts

Did you know: 4,550 butts nearly fills a 5-gallon bucket?! Plus, at almost every cleanup we find a surprising item of interest. This time around, our intrepid volunteers came back with a commercial cooking grill and three shopping carts.
