38 Volunteers at Esplanade Beach Cleanup

We were treated to a sunny morning for our monthly beach cleanup at Esplanade Beach in Pacifica on Saturday, November 16, 2024. Thirty-eight volunteers, 10 of whom were teens from various Bay Area schools, joined us and collectively picked up:
- 38 pounds of landfill trash
- 7 pounds of recyclables
- 1,896 cigarette butts
Perhaps the most fun and unusual find of the day was a small pirate rubber ducky. You never know what you might uncover during one of our cleanups.

Additionally, a family, who champions Pacific Beach Coalition, came down from San Francisco and revealed they’re “addicted” to beach cleanups. We love the enthusiasm and support!
